Sofia Capito

Sofia Capito assumed the role of Managing Director at LBST in 2021, rejoining the team after her tenure as Senior Project Manager from 2011 to 2016. In the interim, she was responsible for strategic, forward-looking initiatives at Orphoz (a McKinsey Company), Messe München, and Munich Airport. Her main focus has been the development of customer-centric business models and the implementation of lean management practices.

Sofia Capito’s academic background includes degrees in Physics from the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf, the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. In addition, she holds an MBA in General Management from the Collège des Ingénieurs. She is a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP), Business Design Coach, and Six Sigma Green Belt.

Christine Funck

Christine Funck joined LBST as Managing Director in January 2025.

Ms Funck has many years of experience in the strategic management and development of business units as well as a deep understanding and passion for renewable energies and transformative projects. Her expertise also includes successful go-to-market management for innovative and complex products in various industries (automotive, consulting, financial services, renewable energy).

Most recently, she played a leading role in an interdisciplinary team at Swiss Sustainable Yachts AG in Zurich, where she was responsible for the successful development, implementation and market launch of the sustainable solar-hydrogen catamaran AQUON.

Ms Funck studied business administration at the European Business School (ebs) in Rheingau and completed an MBA in General Management at Harvard Business School in Boston (MA), USA. She also completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Renewable Energy Management (REM) at the University of St. Gallen.
