Hydrogen infrastructure for long-distance heavy-duty vehicles

Together with its partner DLR, LBST is preparing a study on the status quo and current developments in the field of H2 refuelling of commercial vehicles in long-distance transport.

The analysis includes aspects such as refueling volumes and speeds, refueling protocols, refueling hardware and H2 supply options for the currently discussed H2 fuel options CGH2, sLH2, CcH2. Furthermore, the structure of the H2 fuel costs as well as the most relevant influencing parameters are considered. Aspects of a nationwide refuelling infrastructure as well as possible operator models are also part of the study.

The study will be finalized beginning of the year 2023 and will be available in German only.
