Dr. Uwe Albrecht

Uwe Albrecht has been the Managing Director at LBST since 2008.

Previously, he worked for Siemens AG, where as Managing Partner at Siemens Venture Capital he supported Siemens’ growth strategy with investments in international technology companies in the industrial and energy sectors. Prior to that, he had worked in innovation management and technology consulting for Siemens and Mannesmann for many years.

Dr. Albrecht studied physics at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the University of Washington, Seattle (USA) and completed his PhD at the University of Konstanz.

Sofia Capito

Sofia Capito assumed the role of Managing Director at LBST in 2021, rejoining the team after her tenure as Senior Project Manager from 2011 to 2016. In the interim, she was responsible for strategic, forward-looking initiatives at Orphoz (a McKinsey Company), Messe München, and Munich Airport. Her main focus has been the development of customer-centric business models and the implementation of lean management practices.

Sofia Capito’s academic background includes degrees in Physics from the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf, the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. In addition, she holds an MBA in General Management from the Collège des Ingénieurs. She is a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP), Business Design Coach, and Six Sigma Green Belt.
