LBST is again part of the CertifHy consortium, which is developing a Guarantees of Origin (GoO) system as well as a certification system for hydrogen in Europe.

The consortium, consisting of HINICIO, the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB), CEA, Grexel, Ludwig-Bölkow-Systemtechnik (LBST) and TÜV SÜD, has again been selected by the FCH 2 JU to work on the third phase of the CertifHy project. This phase will take place over the next three years.

The continuation of the third CertifHy project phase aims to build on the two previous phases between 2014 and 2019. Its objectives include the implementation of a harmonised GoO system for hydrogen throughout Europe and beyond and establishing a market for hydrogen guarantee of origin trading. This will occur in close cooperation with market actors. In addition, a certification system for compliance with the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) obligations for renewable fuels in the transport sector will be developed.
